2 further matters of interest
Two further matters that may be of interest.
First, the IoM FSC has declined to produce a copy of the "parental guarantee" that it was given last September by Kaupthing hf.
Second, the IoM FSC was not warned by the UK FSA that it intended to close down KS&F (UK) last Wednesday. While the FSC were on Wednesday furious about not having been given any warning, since then it has passed first into a state of "no comment" about the matter (by Thursday) and then one of denial (Friday). I now know there exists a Memorandum of Understanding between the UK FSA and the IoM FSC that provides for information of that sort to be exchanged.

We need to get them to produce a copy of this guarantee, the only reasons they can have for not producing it are !. it does not exist or 2 there is some kind of legal error in it that they had not noticed, this is the only reason i can see for them not wishing to disclose it.
Is this subject to the freedom of information act do you know? Or IOM equivilant

There is no freedom of information law in the Isle of Man. An 'Access to Information Act' has been promised for 2009...
