'KSF collapse worse than tsunami'

A retired Kaupthing depositor, trapped in a Sri Lankan jungle by the collapse of the bank, says it's a worse experience than the devastating tsunami four years ago.

Barbara Segal moved to Asia from Manchester just before the natural disaster struck, and now runs an animal sanctuary for over 70 dogs.

Since the crash of KSF she says she has struggled to keep up with bills, has had her car reposessed, and cannot afford to pay fees to vets.

She had been living in her new home for only three days when the tsunami destroyed her village on Boxing Day in 2004.

However, she says that was much easier to deal with than life without money.
